Graduation

Graduation 2012 will occur on Friday June 8! The Processional will start at 7:15 PM, and the Ceremony will begin promptly at 7:30 PM.

Come here for our most up-to-date information, timelines, and forms!

We need your help!

Financial: Organizing graduation is an expensive process.  If you would like to help sponsor our event, read our Sponsor Request Letter.  If you’d like to simply help put on our event, our Checks can be made out to “Class of 2012 Graduation” and mailed to the Davis Senior High School Finance Office, 315 W 14th Street, Davis Ca 95616.  The Class of 2012 thanks you!

Volunteer! If you’d like to support the event from a different perspective, we need many hands to make the day a success.  Find out how at our volunteer link:   http://www.signupgenius.com/go/graduation17

If you are a Junior and would like to volunteer to help the day of the ceremony–and watch your friends graduate for free!–come by C-4 to sign up with Mr. Morgan, who will put you to work.

Important Ticket Information!

Update 5/7/12! Payment for requested tickets was due April 27, and the Graduation Committee extended this deadline for one week.  At this point, any requested tickets NOT purchased will be distributed back to our communal pool for anyone to purchase.  If you did not purchase your requested tickets, you will still receive your four free, but are not guaranteed any additional. Our remaining tickets will be sold for $10/ticket at a first-come, first-served basis at lunch only in the DSHS Finance Office.  Ticket sales begin May 14 and will end when the remaining tickets are sold out.  We have an extremely limited quantity available, so be sure to come in quickly if your family wants more tickets! These tickets will be bundled with your previously purchased (or free) tickets and distributed at graduation practice.

Great news, Davis: Due to the thoughtful requests of our community and the hard work of our students, the Graduation Committee is able to fill all of our ticket requests for the Graduation 2012 program! Here is how you can secure those tickets:

  1. Send your seniors to the Graduation Ticket table at Senior Week Activities (the first 30 minutes of each day—schedule below) to find your bill—our staff will tell you the number of tickets you requested and can purchase for $8.00 each.
  2.  Then send your payment with your student back to their Senior Week Activities. It may be in the form of Cash or Check made out to “Davis Senior High” with “Graduation Tickets” in the subject line.  OR
  3. Payment will also be accepted at the Davis Senior High School at the tables in front of the Finance Office at lunch only. When is Lunch? Check our STAR Schedule to make sure you get it right (first week only).
  4. We will accept payment for tickets between Monday April 16 through Friday April 27.  Any tickets not paid for will be forfeited and enter the general public sale for anyone to purchase.
  5. If you only requested your free tickets, there is nothing else you need to do; the tickets have been set aside for you.
  6. If you have questions about your payment total or the number of tickets you will receive, you may call or email Teri Furlow at 530-757-5400 x 113 or tfurlow@djusd.net to request your information.  She will inform you of the total number of tickets you received and your total payment.  This information will also be kept at the front desk.
  7. Tickets will be distributed to graduates at our mandatory graduation practice, so be sure your grad is there!  Practice begins at 8:30 a.m. on June 8 at Halden Field.
