Clubs

Do you see a need not being met on campus? A group you’d like to rally and motivate? No matter if it’s for being social or to make an impact, the club process at DSHS is designed to give the same opportunities the Student Government has.  This includes the ability to raise and spend money, the ability to hold events on campus, the ability to publicize your information and more!

Current Clubs List: Download our list, description, meeting time, and contact info for the many clubs that exist on campus.

Last Year’s Clubs List:  See what we had last year in case you want ideas for what you can do this year!

Application Status: Have you submitted an application to be a club? Check the status of your application here.  Remember that the ASB Executive Board only meets on Mondays, and when we pass your applications to school administration, we are no longer in control of the timeframe.

Club Minutes: Is your club submitting documentation of each meeting? Check here to find out! Remember that submitting your required paperwork each year is one of the ways you can qualify as a “Continuing Club,” and start your work day one of next year!

Activities Approval: If you submitted an application to run an event or a fundraiser, check here to see its status.

Sound System: Does your club or team need a hand with sound? ASB may be able to help with our mobile sound system.  It’s large and time consuming to set up, so make sure you set up a reservation.  Your club will need someone to come help set it up and an ASB staff to supervise in order to make use of it.  Because of the size, expense, and staffing requirements, ASB may not be able to fill all requests, but we will do our best.  Sign up with Mr. Morgan in C-4.

Club Education and Information: Did you miss one of our meetings? Want to review the information? Find it here!

Important Club Paperwork:

  • Club Appplication: Interested in starting a new club? Complete this packet and submit it to C-4 for approval.
  • Club Minutes Clubs must document their meetings with this sheet.  Any expenses and decisions your club makes must be included here before they can be approved. Make a copy and turn one in to C-4 and the other to the Finance Office.
  • Purchase Order Request Form: This form will be turned in to the finance office with a copy of your minutes to secure permission to spend club money. Submit this to the Finance Office.
  • Transfer of Funds Form: If you need to request a loan from ASB, be sure to fill this out.
  • Cash Box Request Form If you need to make change for an event, fill this out and return it to the Finance Office. Submit this to the Finance Office.
  • Application To Hold an Activity Form: Want to run a schoolwide event or to raise money on campus? Secure permission (and reserve the date so another club doesn’t undercut you) with this form. This is also used to save your spot at an event like the Homecoming Parade or a Club’s Fair.  Complete this and return it to C-4.
  • DSHS Kickstarter: Do you have a vision for the school, but lack the funds to complete it? Apply for our grant program with this packet.  Submit this to C-4.
  • Continuing Club Application: Has your club met its requirements? Complete the application here so you don’t have to reapply next academic year.  This means you can participate in Registration to get word out and start all club activities on the very first day of school! Submit this to C-4.
  • Club of the Year: Has your club done amazing work this year? Do you think you qualify for this award? The winning club will receive $100 placed into its account to use for its goals! Submit this to C04.

 Food Event Paperwork:

  • General Food Rules: The laws around Food on campus are varied and complicated. This should get you through the basics.
  • How to Host a Food Fair: This information should walk you through the steps to host a food event on campus. Keep in mind that law dictates that we only get four food events per school year as a school, so not every event can be approved.
  • Classroom Event Form: Use this form any time you want to run a food event on campus, whether it’s a lunch for your club or a schoolwide event. It must get turned in to ASB before your food event is approved.
  • Nutritional Analysis Form: Use this form if you want to use a new vendor to our district for your food event.
